Students are required to record a valid email address in Blackboard, so instructors will be able to contact you. This address should be one that you are in the habit of checking daily. Your Blackboard account becomes active and ready on the first day of class (and not before!).

Once your account is active, enter your email address in Blackboard:

1. Log in to Blackboard
2. Click on the Welcome tab and go to the Tools area (left side)
3. In the TOOLS box, click on the "Personal Information" link
4. Click on the "Edit Personal Information" link
5. Under Personal Information: Go to the "Email" field
6. If the field is empty, enter a valid email address
7. If the field contains an email address, verify that the email address is correct
8. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click SUBMIT
9. Click OK button twice
